Young Lawyer Contest – Concurs organizat de Academy of European Law (ERA)

The project co-funded by the Justice programme of the European Union 2014-2020 is a follow up of the Young Lawyers Contest that ERA and CCBE organised as a trial run in September 2018.

Hosted by the Academy of European Law (ERA), this contest organised in cooperation with the Warsaw Bar Association with the support of the CCBE will enable newly-qualified lawyers to work in international teams on practical questions relating to European law.

It will offer a unique opportunity for young lawyers across the European Bars represented in the competition to exchange experiences, develop their critical thinking and communication skill, and to foster useful relationships for their future career.

The contest will be held as a two day event at ERA’s conference facilities in Trier, Germany, on 13-14 February 2020 for the teams to show their skills in defending written reports prepared in advance, negotiating exercises and preparing oral pleadings before a jury.

All participants will receive a certificate which can be used for continued training hours pending their individual Bar’s approval; winning teams will receive a specific award certificate.

Costs for travel and accommodation of participants selected to participate will be reimbursed. Further details on participation, selection procedure, as well the contest rules can be found on the Young Lawyers Contest web site.

Registration is now open until 1 September 2019. For any further information, person of contact: Mrs. Anna Lees.
